Nothing...

... exciting is happening with me right now. Reading week is done, which makes me sad, but I did have a good break! I got to see Nancy and Ashley, got to do a double feature, dinner, Survivor, and the Apprentice with Lauren, got to write a midterm (wait a second... that doesn't fit with the theme!), and had lots of fun at dinner and the soccer game with Lauren and Jordan, and the card playing after!! I always think playing cards is going to be boring until I actually start playing, and then I have lots of fun. I think Matt and I are going to hit the mall tonight; it was his mom's birthday on the weekend but he was out of town with the army and doesn't have a gift yet.

I just summarized the highlights of my week in that very short paragraph, so please enjoy my space filler below.

Spell your name without vowels: Ntl

--> What is the date 2 days after your birthday?: Jan 3

--> How many pairs of jeans do you own?: Four I think.

--> How many are designer?: None I think.

--> What color do you wear most?: Probably black... just because I usually wear black dress pants to work. I like lots of colors for shirts though; I probably couldn't pick one!

--> Least favorite color?: That gross dark yellow color... or hospital green.

--> Last song heard on the radio?: I can't think of the name.

--> What's for dinner tonite?: We had chicken.

--> Are you happy with your life right now?: Kinda.

--> Tell me a secret about one of your siblings: No.

--> Anyone ever said you resemble a celebrity?: A woman I work with tells me that I look like this actress from the 30s, but she can never remember her name. Apparently its a compliment though, so I'll take it! :)

--> Who did you last call on your cell phone?: Matt

--> Do you own a..

- PS2?: Byron does.

- XBOX 360?: No.

- PSP?: No.

- SIDEKICK?: I'm embarrassed to say I don't really know what this is... I think its a phone. I don't own one.

- DIGITAL CAMERA?: Yup.

--> In what state or country do you want to go to school after highschool?: Obviously this survey is meant for a younger filler outer.

--> Do you shop at stores like Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, or Aeropostale?: Nah, not really. I think for most of those I would have to go to Edmonton (or the States).

--> How do you make money?: Its called a "job". Alternative explanations may include "place of employment" or "by being a desk jockey".

--> Last thing you bought over 50 dollars?: Probably gas. Man, what a high!

--> How's the weather?: Not bad actually! Snowed last night, but I was too hot with my coat on after work!

--> Are you missing someone right now?: No. I am, however, looking forward to Survivor night (as usual).

--> What chores do you have around the house: I clean the bathroom, tidy the basement, tidy my room. I'm a pretty big slacker right now.

--> Finish this sentence. I wish:, I wish, I didn't eat that fish!

--> One word to describe you: Sleepy.

--> Favorite pair of shoes: Circas.

--> Do you own big sunglasses? Used to. They broke.

--> What would you rather be doing right now?: Sleeping or baking cookies.

--> What should you be doing right now?: Homework. As always.

--> Have you kissed your boyfriend/girlfriend lately?: No, but soon!

--> Last IM you recieved?: I have no idea. I haven't been on MSN in months!

--> Last myspace message you recieved? Don't have a myspace.

--> Who did you hug today?: Foxy.

--> What are you going to do now?: Publish this entry.

Priceless

Haha... from a friend's survey that I read...

"Do you do your own laundry?: No, the magical laundry fairy does it; at least thats what [her husband] seems to think."

Doesn't the magical laundry fairy do all laundry?

Confessional: I have never done my own laundry. And I'm 21. And yeah, I realize that that is a little sad. I have put a lot of thought into this though, and I think I can get away with never having to do laundry. See, say I hypothetically marry Matt. Matt has been doing his own laundry for a very long time, and seems to be pretty good at it. I, on the other hand, have been cooking and baking for a very long time. Matt loves (or so he says) my kitchenal creations, so that seems like a fair trade-off, does it not? My goal is to go a vast majority of my life without doing laundry, if not all. I don't really mind doing dishes either. I'm sure we can crack a deal. :)

Matt and I had a very good Valentine's day. We went to the Keg (delicious) and exchanged our gifts. I got Across the Universe from Matt, and some flowers which he surprised me with! He really liked his book too, so a successful holiday, I'd say.

Finally, I really wanted to link a video, but I couldn't find it. Have you seen the new mastercard commercial? "Giving your kitchen the night off: priceless". It is so cute! All the kitchen equipment are partying because the couple went out for dinner. My favorite part was when the knives were watching the horror movie and huddled together because they were scared. Love it, love it, L O V E I T!!!!

Just to dress up this entry a little bit, check out another one of my favorite videos. Always makes me laugh!!

The Perfect Man

"He's sweet and decadently rich! Just how a man ought to be!"

Matt's mom gave me a chocolate man for V day, complete with heart covered boxers. It was very cute, and my favorite part was after I got it and Matt pretended to be insulted. Something about him being the perfect man or something...?

Haha. I was going to take a picture of him, as he is very cute (the chocolate man, not Matt, lol) but I didn't think of that until I bit off his head. Taking a picture and posting it now seems a tad sadistic.

He is delicious, by the way.

Happy Valentine's Day, a few days early!

U OF C

"At Princeton if you are diagnosed as manic depressive, they give you a year off. They don't give you this time because they are worried about you though. They don't want you to fail your classes and therefore pull down the class average and jeopardize their ranking as one of the top two or three universities in the States.

I find this just... sick... nasty.

At the U of C, they don't do that. If you are diagnosed as being manic depressive at the U of C, well... just... join the rest of us!"

I am the biggest...

procrastinator EVER!

I cannot believe the amount of time I spent procrastinating yesterday. I had a paper to write, some readings to do, and a lab write up and it took me way longer than it should have. Never mind that I didn't even finish the paper. I'm having a hard time with this paper; I've never had to write one that requires thinking before! Usually it is just regurgitating other people's thoughts, so this is a new concept.

Anyway, when I think of the time I wasted yesterday "working" (i.e. checking blogs, going on facebook, re checking blogs, checking email, and re checking blogs), I am just disapppointed. To think, I could have done my work in a few short hours and then done what ever I wanted for the evening but instead I was stuck at the computer all afternoon and all evening, accomplishing very little. I think this has to stop. Maybe that means checking facebook once a day, blogs once a day, email once a day MAXIMUM, but I have to set some limits. I want more time to do stuff I enjoy, and I think I could have that and get my work done too!

There you have my new leaf. I'll keep you posted.

Goodbye, January!

And hello February, I suppose.

One term paper down, major presentation down, commercial down! I am happy about that, let me tell you.

Matt got a free DVD with the pizza he ordered last night while I was still at my house. When I called to tell him I was on my way up, he told me that he got a movie for me. I was excited too, because it was a movie that I like and would like to watch again, but didn't really want to buy... The Devil Wears Prada. :)

Little moments like those that let me know that I am on his mind are my favorite.
